MEET THE STAFF

Micah is the COO and Cofounder of Sisyphus. Micah is a jack of all trades. He was trained as an electrician by his father and went on to be an RN for 7 years. He and Bruce met at a makerspace started by his friend in 2012 but it closed shortly after. They thus founded Nordeast Makers (NEM) together in 2013 where the two started developing Sisyphus tables. After the Kickstarter launched in 2016, Micah quit nursing to pursue Sisyphus Industries full time. He also has the cutest shop dog in the world, a little pitbull named Scarlett.

Steve is the Special Projects Manager and can make just about anything. He is a maker through and through. Whether he is building our hardwood tables, running the CNC, or creating a new project for his kids, Steve’s precision and attention to detail is unmatched.

Alex is the head of support here at Sisyphus. While we hope you don’t have to contact support, if you do get the chance to talk with her she will greet you with kindness and solve any problem you come to her with…. Sisyphus related. Alex is also an artist who makes beautiful tracks for Sisyphus and does illustration outside of work.

Cory Huseby is the Design and Development Manager. He is responsible for developing new products and evolving current ones. From designing, to building, to engineering and installing, Cory is truly a man of many talents. He is a maker and designer at heart and loves sharing his knowledge with others. He is also a true outdoorsman - whether that is racing sailboats twice a week, heading out to remote areas for off road and overland adventures, snowboarding, XC skiing, hiking, biking or riding motorcycles, you can bet that Cory is always trying something new and adventuring.

Annalise is a Production Artist at Sisyphus and has become the lead finisher (she sprays each and every ring, mini, and hardwood table part with a lacquer finish). She is also our in-house horticulturist! She earned her BFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago with an emphasis in painting. While she grew up in Orange County, California, she has been living in the midwest for almost a decade with her partner, dachshund puppy, and two cats.

Bev is the CFO and Cofounder of Sisyphus, handling all things legal and financial. She is involved with all of the big picture decisions and continues to help the company succeed with her wisdom. Bev is a retired physician, and outside of SI she paints, hikes, and spends time with her 4 grandkids. Bev and Bruce spend their time between Minnesota and California and they will be celebrating 40 years of marriage come 2023.

Bruce is the CEO and Artist behind Sisyphus. He spends his time in the shop or at his at home studio looking for ways to develop new and interesting kinetic art. In his words, “I pinch myself everyday that I’m so lucky to work with such an outstanding and fun group of people (which includes my wife).” Bruce has two kids who each have kids themselves, ensuring endless fun with the grandkids. Bruce has merged his passion and his work in a truly successful way. “What could be more enjoyable than prototyping kinetic art in a shop full of cool tools?”

Jimmy is the Production Manager. He manages the team of Production Artists and helps with just about everything including assisting with UX and product development. He helped renovate and remodel our new space and is always up for a project. Being one of the first employees at Sisyphus, he is an amazing resource and knows the shop like the back of his hand. He is a former collegiate swimmer, current bar-league volleyball enthusiast, and a viral math video victim (look up “I Integrate By Parts (Total Eclipse of the Heart Parody)” if you want a good laugh).

Sam is the Marketing Director at Sisyphus. Whether it is designing the Newsletters, coming up with ad strategies, or curating our social media, Sam is always busy with something. Originally from Miami, they moved to the twin cities to study at Minneapolis College of Art and Design and stayed for the great dog parks. Sam is truly passionate about her role and it shows with all of the work she has done for SI.

David is the Chief Growth Officer and handles Event Coordination, Special Projects, Sales and Go to Market Strategy, Organizational Growth and Internal Expansion. David works directly with clients ensuring that our custom projects and exhibitions go off without a hitch. He also works with our distributors and affiliates. David gets to witness and share the excitement and enthusiasm clients have about our products as they recognize the uniqueness of Sisyphus and the calming effect and beauty they bring.

Collin is the Logistics Manager here at Sisyphus. He wears a lot of hats – he manages all of the orders, our internal systems, the website, inventory, and shipping and receiving (he’s the guy that makes sure your order gets to you!). He got his BFA in Contemporary Sculpture from Stout in Wisconsin. While he manages all things logistics here, he is also wildly creative and a talented artist. Collin loves making, watching movies with his wife and two pups, and going to the dog park.
